If i install the trial of windows 7, if i dont like it, how can i change back to windows xp?

also does it change any of my setting?

basically i want to try windows 7 but i dont like it i want to be able to change back, would a system restore change it back? also would it keep all of my files, programs and settings?

also does any one know if the trial is any good?If i install the trial of windows 7, if i dont like it, how can i change back to windows xp?No you can't system restore it back, system restore is part of the individual operating system for undoing changes to the system.

I would recommend dividing your harddrive into two partitions and have your existing XP on the one and Windows 7 on the other so you can run from either or.

If you find you don't like Windows 7 then just delete the partition and re expand the XP one back to its original size

But if your computer has the specs to run Windows 7 then keep it, I'm running the Windows 7 7100 RC release and I'm loving it.If i install the trial of windows 7, if i dont like it, how can i change back to windows xp?No.

You should have dual booted..If i install the trial of windows 7, if i dont like it, how can i change back to windows xp?If you want to keep all the settings and programs then you should do a ghost image of your hard drive. Or you could install Windows 7 in another partition and dual boot. But if you install Windos 7 on top of Xp then it is gonna erase everything on that partition and your programs and settings will be lost.If i install the trial of windows 7, if i dont like it, how can i change back to windows xp?You should install each one in separate local disk, i recommend it (The local disk where you will put the Windows 7) be formated, then when you finish trying the windows just format the local disk that contains Windows 7 using Windows XP........
