I have a 97 turbo eclipse and want to put a non turbo engine in it. what will i have to change?

is the transmission the same? can i change computer and install engine?I have a 97 turbo eclipse and want to put a non turbo engine in it. what will i have to change? This is not going to happen.

the turbo engine is a Mitsubishi Engine, the non-turbo engine is a Chrysler. It is a huge task that will cost more than the car is worth. Everything has to be changed, Engine transmission, engine cradle, wiring harness, computer, if its an auto, then the transmission computer and wiring too will need to be changed.I have a 97 turbo eclipse and want to put a non turbo engine in it. what will i have to change? If you need an engine, check the classified section of your local dsm forum. www.newengdsm.org if you are in new england. If you find an engine on a forum, it will be cheaper, as most tuners use the older engines, so the 95 %26amp; up engines go for less

If you are looking at keeping the car it would be better of just gettin a rebuilt turbo motor for it.
