How do I change hard disk and then install?

when the computer is frozen when I start it upHow do I change hard disk and then install? To re-install windows on a hard drive, it is not necessary for you to be able to use windows. Switch your PC on, and while it boots up it will give you an option to load the bios, usually by pressing either the delete key or F2.

Once you have entered the bios change the boot sequence from 1)HDD 2)CD-ROM to 1)CD-ROM 2)HDD, it does not matter what option 3/4 are if you have them. Save and accept changes.

Now re-boot your PC with the Windows disk in the cd-rom drive and follow the setup procedure through.

After Windows has been sucessfully installed, reboot your PC, and enter the bios once more, change the boot sequence back to its original setting 1)hdd 2)cd-rom. (Its is extremely important to do this at this stage or you will keep going around in circles, re-installing Windows each time).

Hope this helps,
