Do i need to change my low configured motherboard in order to install a new GPU (ATI RADEON HD 4830)?

My PC configuration is : AMD Athlon 2200+ with 512 DDR1 RAM

If the mother board does not have the right port for that card AGP/PCI express then you will have to get a new mother board.
