What will happen if i install Windows 64 bit? Will anything change except that i can add more ram?

.What will happen if i install Windows 64 bit? Will anything change except that i can add more ram?first you need a 64 bit processor if you have that. then you can install windows 64bit.

two things that will change is you can go from 4 gigs of registries (physical ram, video ram, and anything else that has onboard ram will be included). to 16 gigs of registries.

the other thing that will change is you need 64 bit drivers for all your add on devices (soundcard, video card, printer, etc).

Make sure all your devices have 64 bit drivers before you install it.What will happen if i install Windows 64 bit? Will anything change except that i can add more ram?You will find some programs won't work and you'll need different drivers for some of your hardware.

Other then that not much will change.

There's really not much reason to change if you ask me.What will happen if i install Windows 64 bit? Will anything change except that i can add more ram?I don't reccomend that you do personally. Many programs will not run on a 64bit system and this will include alot of drivers for other pieces of hardware.

There isn't really any point upgrading to this kind of system yet as the software (on the whole) has not been written for it yet.

If the only reason you want to do it is so that you can add more ram i suggest that you find alternate ways to speed up your computer as more ram isn't the only (and is often not the best) option
